Our inspiration: A passion for helping seniors
The inspiration for Little Big Senior Services came from a simple observation: a genuine need in our Kingston community for reliable, non-medical support for seniors. While assisting our elderly neighbours, we recognized a gap in services that focused on the everyday tasks and companionship that truly enhance quality of life. Helping others in every possible way is a deep-seated passion for us, something we find immense joy in doing. For over 20 years, we have been dedicated to assisting people in various capacities, and we are now committed to expanding that support on a much larger scale, spreading kindness and care throughout our community.

Tara
Co-founder & Caregiver
Tara brings over 20 years of experience caring for and supporting individuals, with a strong passion for helping seniors live safely, comfortably, and independently in their own homes.
Her experience as a Senior Support Worker (SSW), Educational Assistant, and Early Childhood Educator has taught her the importance of patience, compassion, dignity, and treating every person as an individual. As a SSW, Tara provided hands-on support with meal preparation, housekeeping, transportation, companionship, and everyday activities, while helping clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
Today, Tara brings that same caring approach to Little Big Senior Services. She takes the time to get to know each client—their routines, interests, preferences, and needs—so that every visit is meaningful and personalized. Whether providing companionship, preparing a homemade meal, helping around the home, accompanying a client on an outing, or simply being there for a friendly conversation, Tara believes the little things can make a big difference.
Tara's passion for helping others is what inspired her to create Little Big Senior Services. She believes that providing support is about more than completing tasks—it's about taking the time to listen, build trust, and truly get to know the person you're helping.

Luc
Co-founder & Caregiver
Luc is the “BIG” in Little Big Senior Services, bringing over 19 years of experience supporting youth, including providing mental health support and helping individuals through challenging situations with patience, understanding, and compassion. He brings that same caring approach to supporting seniors, taking the time to listen, connect, and make every client feel comfortable and valued.
Luc enjoys preparing meals, helping around the home, and most importantly, spending meaningful time with the people he supports.
CPR & First Aid certified, Luc is known for his calm nature, patience, and genuinely BIG heart.
For Luc, caring for others isn't simply a job—it's an opportunity to make someone's day a little brighter, provide a helping hand, and build relationships that truly matter.
